Description

This chip telephone card, commonly known as a "télécarte," features a colorful and childlike design on a bright yellow background. On the visible side, there is an illustration reminiscent of a hut, rendered in a naive style with flat areas of bright colors: red, white, purple, orange, and green. The handwritten inscription "ma cabane cabane..." (my hut hut...) is visible in pink, while the name "mathilde 4 ans" (Mathilde 4 years old) appears in the bottom right, suggesting a creation from a competition or a series dedicated to children's drawings.

The card is equipped with a silver electronic chip at the top center, characteristic of French télécartes used in the 1990s and 2000s. On the left side is the mention "Télécarte 50," indicating a capacity of 50 units, typical of cards distributed at that time for use in public telephone booths.

The overall graphic design plays on the simplicity and spontaneity of a child's drawing, giving this télécarte a nostalgic yet unique appearance. The solid yellow background highlights the colors of the central drawing and the handwritten inscriptions, making the card immediately recognizable to collectors of télécartes with original illustrations.

The visible surface of the card appears to be in good general condition: the chip is intact, the corners are sharp, and no major scratches or pronounced signs of wear are perceptible in the photo. The glossy appearance and the sharpness of the colors indicate good preservation of the presented side.

The inscriptions are perfectly legible: "ma cabane cabane...", "mathilde 4 ans" and "Télécarte 50". No telephone brand logo is visible on this side, which is common on certain special editions or thematic series of French télécartes.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The card is very well preserved on the visible side, with no major defects observed.

Did you know? Chip télécartes were introduced in France in 1983 to replace telephone tokens. Illustrated series, like this one with a child's drawing, were often produced in limited quantities for special operations or competitions, making them sought-after items today for their graphic value and their testimony to the history of public telecommunications.
