Description

This vintage phone card features a front illustrated with a colorful advertising visual, typical of the 1990s-2000s. The card is equipped with a golden chip visible on the left, characteristic of chip technology phone cards used in France during that era. The illustration shows a man in a black jacket in front of a blue background with a graffiti pattern, accompanied by white and purple text, including "Toi aussi, soigne ton auto-promo : commande ta Télécart’ perso" (You too, take care of your self-promotion: order your personalized Phone Card).

On the lower part, the card displays the website address "www.macarte.com" in purple, on a green stripe, with the slogan "Je crée ma Télécarte à mon image" (I create my Phone Card in my image). On the right side, the vertical inscription "Télécarte 50" specifies the card's capacity (50 units), a standard format for French phone cards of that period.

The card's surface is smooth, with a glossy finish typical of laminated telecommunication cards. The dominant colors are blue, green, and purple, with a dynamic layout and advertising graphics evocative of the late 90s and early 2000s. No additional markings or logos are visible on the front, apart from the inscriptions mentioned above.

The card is shown resting on an orange velvet armchair, which is not included in the sale. Only the front of the phone card is visible in the photo; no information is provided regarding the back or the edge.

This advertising phone card is a retro item, representative of the era when public telephone communications were common in France, before the widespread advent of mobile phones.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The visible side appears generally clean, with no major apparent defects in the photo. Possible micro-traces of use, not detailed.

Did you know? Chip phone cards were introduced in France in 1986, gradually replacing telephone tokens. They became true advertising media and collector's items, with special series, advertisements, or personalized creations like this one, accessible via specialized websites at the time.
