Description

Classical music audio CD presented in a standard jewel case with an illustrated cover. The visible side shows a color photograph of Mstislav Rostropovich, the famous cellist, in a black suit and bow tie, holding a cello. The cover clearly displays the names of the composers Lutoslawski and Dutilleux, as well as the title "Cello Concertos" in several languages (English, German, French). The main performer, Mstislav Rostropovich, and the Orchestre de Paris conducted by Lutoslawski and Baudo, are also mentioned.

The cover has a plain beige background, with a clean and elegant layout typical of late 20th-century EMI productions. The EMI logo is clearly visible at the bottom right, accompanied by the reference CDC 7 49304 2. The entire jewel case and cover are in good visual condition, with no tears or significant wear on the visible side, although some slight signs of use are noticeable on the plastic surface of the case.

The jewel case has black and transparent edges, in accordance with classic audio CD standards. No booklet or back cover is visible in this image; only the front is shown. The inscriptions are clear, with no apparent printing defects. The photograph of Rostropovich adds a warm touch to the presentation, reinforcing the high-end aspect of this EMI edition.

The layout prioritizes the readability of essential information: titles, composers, performers, and orchestra. This CD offers cello concertos, a highly sought-after format in the classical repertoire, here showcased by one of the major cello figures of the 20th century.

Condition

Used item sold as is. The visible side of the case and cover has no major defects, only a few superficial micro-scratches are visible on the plastic. The inscriptions are perfectly legible and the overall presentation remains very neat.

Did you know? Mstislav Rostropovich was one of the greatest cellists of the 20th century. He premiered many contemporary works, including Witold Lutoslawski's Cello Concerto in 1970, an emblematic piece of the modern repertoire, specially commissioned for him.
