Description

Here is an old agricultural chaintreuil, typical of the late 19th century, signed "Vincent" (signature mentioned in the keywords, not visible on this side). This traditional tool, once used in agricultural work, stands out for its robust design and artisanal conception. It consists of a wide rounded sole at the front, topped by a solid vertical handle, all in a wooden finish with an antique patina. The upper part features an ergonomic, slightly rounded handle for a good grip. The whole reveals a worked surface, with traces of use, marks and nuances specific to a period tool.

The tool incorporates a visible mechanism composed of transverse metal rods fixed to the base of the handle, the ends of which are visible on the upper side. The sole has grooves and a patinated appearance, with some traces of oxidation on the metal parts. The wood finish shows a beautiful medium brown hue, accentuated by natural aging and tonal variations. The edges are softened by use, and the surface reveals old assembly marks, typical of artisanal manufactures from the late 19th century.

On the visible side, there are also a few metal nails or rivets inserted into the sole, reinforcing the structure. The top of the sole, slightly curved, is covered with discreet marks and an authentic patina that testify to the tool's age. No particular decoration is visible; the piece focuses on sobriety and functionality, true to the agricultural use of the time.

This chaintreuil presents a rustic and authentic appearance, ideal for complementing a rural decor or for a thematic exhibition on old tools. The quality of manufacture, the presence of the "Vincent" signature (not visible here) and the original patina make it a representative piece of agricultural craftsmanship from the late 19th century.
