Vintage European Tech Alliance ETA old knives, lot 2, engraved handle
AFW - Antique France Worldwide
Description
This lot consists of two antique table knives with a sober and functional design, from the European Tech Alliance (ETA) brand, as indicated by the engraving visible on each handle. The knives have an elongated shape with a rounded tip blade, typical of serving or table cutlery from the mid-to-late 20th century. The visual appearance is that of a light metal with a satin finish, without superfluous decorations, favoring a utilitarian and modern aesthetic.
The handle of each knife is flat, linear, and slightly thickened towards the end, providing a good grip. The "ETA" engraving accompanied by a three parallel line motif evokes the European Tech Alliance brand logo, clearly visible on the face of each piece. The set presents a minimalist style, consistent with industrial cutlery production from the 1970s to the 1990s.
The two knives are photographed on a wooden surface, highlighting their homogeneous satin finish. The blades appear wide and robust, without serration, suitable for daily or serving use. No additional decoration or pattern is apparent on the visible part of the knives. The overall appearance reflects a utilitarian design, appreciated for its simplicity and functionality.
Some light traces of use are observed: micro-scratches and discreet marks on the surface, typical of old used cutlery, but no chips or visible deformation in the photo. The edges of the handle are clean, and the transition between the blade and the handle is marked by a slight recess, characteristic of modern cutlery.
Condition
This lot of two antique knives is used and sold as is. Visible traces of use (micro-scratches, light marks) but apparently good overall condition, with no major defects on the photographed side.
