Description

Old fishing spoon of the "La Reine des Mers" type, designed for sea fishing. The object visible in the photo is a metallic lure with an elongated blade, equipped with an attachment ring on one side and a treble hook fixed at the other end. The surface has a matte silver finish, typical of utilitarian fishing accessories from the mid-20th century. The engraved inscription, legible on the main face, mentions "LA REINE DES MERS" followed by "Création D. DENIER", confirming the brand and authenticity of this model.

Its flat and tapered profile, as well as the perforations at each end, suggest a spoon designed to imitate the movement of a small fish in the water. The piece shows a natural patina and some signs of oxidation or traces of use, characteristic of old accessories kept in store stock ("deadstock").

The visible treble hook is attached to the main body by a metal ring. The ensemble, although utilitarian in appearance, retains a simple and robust aesthetic, true to traditional sea fishing accessories.
