Description

This antique bottle opener has a flat, rounded shape, topped with an openwork hexagonal head designed to open bottles. The visible side is embossed with the coat of arms of the city of Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines), accompanied by the inscription "ST GERMAIN-EN-LAYE YVELINES" in full letters around the edge. The central decoration includes a shield with a fleur-de-lys on a striped background, surmounted by a mural crown and framed by laurel and oak branches, typical of French municipal heraldic iconography.

The visible surface of the bottle opener has a greyish patina, highlighting the volumes and the vintage look of the whole. Traces of wear and oxidation are visible, particularly on the edges and raised parts, giving the object an authentic charm and period character.
