Description

This 45 RPM vinyl record features the band "Les Wackadous" and includes an illustrated sleeve with a colorful photographic visual, typical of French productions from the 1960s. The front side shows five members in retro costumes, wearing light-colored hats and fake moustaches, posing on a tufted mahogany-brown sofa. Their exaggerated expressions and clothing style evoke the whimsical and theatrical spirit of the band, in an aesthetic reminiscent of French variety shows from that era.

The title "LES WACKADOU" is printed in large pink letters at the upper center of the sleeve. At the top left, the reference "72 233" and an "M" in a circle are clearly visible, characteristic elements of the pressing. The upper right corner bears the Barclay label logo on a black and white background, confirming the original French edition.

The upper part of the sleeve lists the song titles, such as "BILLETS DOUX", "HEUREUX TOUS LES DEUX", "VALENTINE", "JAZZ BAND", and "ELLE DANSE LE CHARLESTON", followed by the mention "fox-trot," indicating a repertoire geared towards popular dance music of the 60s. The printing and typography conform to the graphic standards of this period.

The sleeve shows visible signs of wear: pronounced wear on the corners, folds and handling marks, general patina, as well as some creasing and slight soiling on the cardboard surface. The central image remains clearly legible and colorful despite these signs of aging, attesting to the authenticity of the item and its journey over the decades.
