Description

This 45 rpm vinyl record features a color photograph of Michel Sardou on its sleeve, clearly identifiable by the capitalized inscription "MICHEL SARDOU" at the top of the sleeve. The visual highlights the artist wearing a coat and a t-shirt with white star patterns on a blue background, typical of late 60s/early 70s fashion. The sleeve also displays the main title "JE T'AIME, JE T'AIME" in purple letters, as well as the secondary title "LA CORRIDA N'AURA PAS LIEU" in the bottom left. The Philips label logo is clearly visible in the top right, confirming the original pressing.

The record is presented in its original sleeve, which shows a slight patina and visible creases on the lower part and corners, indicative of the item's age. In the bottom right, the mention "parade couleurs" and "stereo" appears, indicating its belonging to a specific series of the label. The visible surface of the sleeve shows well-preserved colors despite some signs of wear and slight yellowing, typical of vintage vinyl records from this period. No accessories or inserts are visible in the photo.

The graphic design of the sleeve, with its colorful typographies and full-page portrait, reflects the aesthetic of French productions from the early 1970s. The inscriptions are clear and legible, reinforcing the authenticity of this copy. The upper right part also displays the "PHILIPS" logo in white on a black background, characteristic of the brand's original pressings.

This 45 rpm record is an emblematic medium of French song, and its overall condition visible in the image suggests prior use without major alterations to the sleeve, apart from handling marks and slightly dog-eared corners. No serious structural defects are apparent on the visible part.

Condition

Used vinyl record sold as is, with original sleeve showing signs of wear, creases, and visible patina on the front. Inscriptions remain legible and colors are well-preserved despite its age.

Did you know? Michel Sardou released "Je t’aime, je t’aime" in 1971, a period marked by the rise of the 45 rpm format in France, which allowed artists to offer their singles with distinct A and B sides. The Philips label was then one of the main publishers of popular French music.
