Description
Illustrated 45 rpm vinyl record with a vintage sleeve featuring Richard Anthony. The visual presents a black and white portrait of the artist on the front cover, with a crisp print and soft contrast characteristic of French record sleeves from the 60s-70s. At the top right is the name "Richard Anthony" in red letters, accompanied by the title "Les Ballons – Severine – Que te dire encore", also in red and black lettering.

The sleeve features a graphic design of stylized red balloons on the upper left, adding a retro touch to the whole, typical of French pop aesthetics of the second half of the 20th century. The Columbia EMI logo is visible at the top left, attesting to the original edition, with the reference ESRF 1927 clearly indicated at the top right. The photograph of Richard Anthony, taken by Gérard Neuvecelle, occupies most of the sleeve and highlights a sober, elegant clothing style representative of the era.

The visible side shows a cardboard sleeve with a slight patina, indicating previous use. The corners appear generally clean, although some minor wear and tear typical of old vinyls can be observed. No major chips or tears are visible on the exposed surface.

This 45 rpm vinyl record is a sought-after piece for its vintage illustration and the renown of Richard Anthony, one of the leading singers of the French pop scene. It is a classic medium for retro music, easily recognizable thanks to its compact format and distinctive graphic presentation.

The typography used, as well as the arrangement of the graphic elements, evoke the graphic style of the 60s-70s in France, reinforcing the retro character of the object. The whole rests on a bookshelf background, which is not included but highlights the decorative dimension of the record.

Condition
Used item sold as is. The sleeve shows a visible patina, with slight traces of wear compatible with age and use, without apparent structural defects on the displayed side. The vinyl itself is not visible in the photo.

Did you know? Richard Anthony was one of the first artists to adapt major Anglo-Saxon hits into French in the 60s, helping to popularize rock and pop with the French-speaking public. The Columbia EMI label, clearly visible on the sleeve, was at that time one of the main record publishers in France, having supported the distribution of many major artists of French chanson.
