Description

Old embroidered patch, presented in its original packaging on a card, representing the summit of Puy Mary, a famous mountain in the Massif Central in Auvergne. The visible side shows colorful embroidery with a stylized landscape: green mountains, a yellow path, and the inscription "LE PUY MARY" in white letters on a blue background, accompanied by the mention "ALT. 1787 m" at the bottom of the patch. The outline is highlighted with a black border, for a neat and traditional finish.

The original presentation card is well preserved, with the mention "ECUSSON BRODE SOUVENIR" (EMBROIDERED SOUVENIR PATCH) at the top, followed by translations in several languages. The provenance "Dupuy Cavus Lourdes France" is also visible printed on the card, which attests to French manufacturing typical of 20th-century regional souvenirs.

The patch has a classic heraldic shield shape with a blue, yellow, green, brown, and white background, with dense embroidery and marked relief. The design highlights the natural landscapes of Auvergne and the altitude of the site, a detail often sought after on vintage tourist patches.
