Description

Old military patch, rectangular with bevelled corners, as shown in the photo. It is a textile insignia, probably intended for the Air Force uniform, recognizable by its composition: a matte dark blue background, on which two parallel horizontal gold-colored, satin-finish stripes are embroidered. The contrast between the deep blue fabric and the gold thread reinforces the official and traditional appearance of this type of braid, typical of rank or function insignia in the French armed forces.

The surface has a uniform textile finish, with no apparent additional pattern, and visible stitching around the edge. The two gold stripes are perfectly parallel and of identical width, centered on the backing. No text, logo or emblem is present on the visible side. The overall style is sober and réglementaire, characteristic of military patches used during the second half of the 20th century, although the exact period is not specified.

The edge of the patch shows slight irregularities in the stitching, suggesting artisanal or semi-industrial manufacture, common for vintage insignia. The blue fabric appears dense, with a slightly felted texture, while the gold thread offers a luminous effect under the lighting.

The insignia is presented lying flat on a light background, with no visible fastening on the photographed side. No accessories or complementary elements are apparent in the image. There are also a few threads protruding from the edge, indicating slight wear consistent with a second-hand item.
