Description
This First Day Cover (FDC) highlights road safety, as clearly indicated by the illustration and inscriptions visible on the front. The envelope features a colorful illustration centered on a stylized road sign, accompanied by the text "LA PRÉVENTION ROUTIÈRE" (Road Safety) at the top. Cyclist and automobile motifs, typical of late 1960s road safety campaigns, are also visible in the graphic composition.
The legible official round postmark bears the inscription "LA PRÉVENTION ROUTIÈRE PREMIER JOUR 24 FEV. 68 PARIS", confirming its issuance on February 24, 1968, in Paris. The envelope also includes the red inscription "PREMIER JOUR D'ÉMISSION / FIRST DAY COVER", placed at the bottom left, as well as the specific logo for this issue. A second "FIRST DAY COVER" postmark appears in red to the right of the main illustration.
