1970 First Day Cover dedicated to the European Year of Nature, illustrated with a pink flamingo. The visible side features a detailed illustration of the pink flamingo in a marsh, by CAMI, with shades of pink, grey, and green. The envelope bears the inscription "ANNÉE EUROPÉENNE DE LA NATURE 1970" (European Year of Nature 1970) at the top, and "Le Flamant Rose (d’après CAMI)" (The Pink Flamingo (by CAMI)) at the bottom left.

Two philatelic postmarks are clearly affixed to the envelope, both bearing the inscription "ANNÉE EUROPÉENNE DE LA NATURE FLAMANT ROSE 21 MARS 1970 PARIS" (European Year of Nature Pink Flamingo March 21, 1970 Paris). One of the postmarks also specifies "PREMIER JOUR D’ÉMISSION FIRST DAY COVER" (First Day of Issue First Day Cover) in blue, confirming that it is an FDC (First Day Cover), a sought-after item in philately.
