Description

First-day philatelic envelope, known as FDC (First Day Cover), illustrated and franked, issued on the occasion of the Vincennes flower exhibition in 1999. The visible side features a large color illustration depicting water lily flowers and a view of the Château de Vincennes, accompanied by the inscription "1999" and "VINCENNES".

Two different postage stamps are affixed to the envelope, both with a floral theme (exotic flowers and water lilies). The cancellations are clear and bear the inscription "FLORALES INTERNATIONALES PARIS 12 AVRIL 1999" with a stylized flower motif, indicating that it is a first-day postmark specific to this event.

The inscriptions "PREMIER JOUR D’ÉMISSION" (First Day of Issue) and "FIRST DAY COVER" are printed in purple on the lower left part of the envelope. The whole is protected in a transparent plastic sleeve, preserving the condition of the visible side.

The handwritten price "12 F" is visible on a small label affixed to the sleeve. No major defects appear on the front; the overall condition seems very good for an item of this category, with no visible signs of wear, folds, or stains on the exposed part.

This type of illustrated envelope, combining thematic stamps and commemorative postmark, is typical of French event-based philatelic issues from the late 20th century.
