This First Day Cover (FDC) commemorates the 25th anniversary of the night airmail service, with a postmark dated May 9, 1964, from Le Bourget. On the main face, a detailed illustration depicts a nighttime postal mail loading operation, with an airplane in the background and agents handling mail bags. The graphic composition is highlighted by dominant blue, orange, and black colors, typical of philatelic illustrations of the period.

The envelope bears the inscription "PREMIER JOUR D’ÉMISSION N° 489 F.D.C. HISTORIQUE" (FIRST DAY OF ISSUE N° 489 F.D.C. HISTORIC) at the top left, as well as a legible stamp indicating: "PREMIER JOUR 25e ANNIVERSAIRE SERVICE AEROPOSTAL DE NUIT LE BOURGET (SEINE) 9 MAI 1964" (FIRST DAY 25th ANNIVERSARY NIGHT AIRMAIL SERVICE LE BOURGET (SEINE) MAY 9, 1964). The stamp affixed to the envelope has a face value of 0.25 francs and depicts an airplane flying over a runway, perfectly consistent with the airmail theme.

The visual also includes the mention "Histoire de l’aéropostale de nuit" (History of night airmail) and a circular orange logo at the bottom left. The envelope is protected by a transparent plastic sleeve, allowing all elements to be viewed while preserving the condition of the paper and prints.

A handwritten "lot" label is affixed to the lower right part of the sleeve. No major defects are visible on the surface; the general presentation remains very clean, with no apparent tears or stains on the visible area.
