Illustrated First Day Cover, visible in a transparent protective sleeve. The front shows a blue French Republic stamp, with the inscription "CENTENAIRE DE L’ÉMISSION DE BORDEAUX 1870-1970" (Centenary of the Bordeaux Issue 1870-1970), with a face value of 0.80. The stamp is canceled with a round postmark "BORDEAUX VILLE D’ART" (Bordeaux City of Art), dated 1970, which confirms its nature as a FDC (First Day Cover).

At the top right, a red printed inscription "Premier Jour d’émission" (First Day of Issue) is clearly visible, typical of French FDC philatelic envelopes from the second half of the 20th century. The envelope is addressed to SCOTEM, 25 rue Calmels, Paris 18e, whose address is printed in black at the bottom left.
