Description

Illustrated philatelic envelope, "First Day Cover" (F.D.C.) type, dedicated to Marceline Desbordes-Valmore. The visible side features a colorful illustration depicting a historic building, most likely a church or a monument associated with the poetess, accompanied by red roses and a stylized portrait of Marceline Desbordes-Valmore. The details are clear, with vivid colors (yellow, green, red, blue, black) and an aesthetic typical of French philatelic issues from the mid-20th century.

The envelope bears two clearly legible circular postmarks, marked "PREMIER JOUR / MARCELINE DESBORDES-VALMORE / 20 JUIN 59 / DOUAI". The inscription "PREMIER JOUR D'ÉMISSION HISTORIQUE No 201 F.D.C." appears at the top right, confirming the authenticity of this commemorative philatelic document. At the bottom left, the printed mention specifies: "Marceline DESBORDES-VALMORE 1786 – 23 juin 1859".

The visual also includes the printer's or publisher's logo (visible detail but not precisely identified here), as well as a transparent plastic protection around the envelope. A small white square, probably a handwritten classification label ("107"), is visible at the bottom right on the sleeve.

The visible side shows no damaged or detached stamps; the whole is well preserved, with fresh colors and clear inscriptions. No major defects are observable on the illustrated part.

Condition

Used item sold as is, protected in a plastic sleeve. Slight signs of wear possible on the protection, but the illustrated side of the envelope appears clean and without major visible defects.
