First Day Cover (FDC) dedicated to the Gendarmerie Nationale, issued in 1970 and postmarked in Paris. The front features an illustration in blue and burgundy depicting a motorcycle gendarme in uniform, accompanied by a stylized coat of arms of the Gendarmerie Nationale. The envelope bears the inscription "PREMIER JOUR D'ÉMISSION" (First Day of Issue), the number 704, and the indication "HISTORIQUE F.D.C." (Historical F.D.C.) at the top left.

Two round postmarks are clearly visible on the front, all bearing the inscription "GENDARMERIE NATIONALE PREMIER JOUR 31-1-70 PARIS" along with a central emblem. The associated stamp, with a face value of 0.45 F, is adorned with a motif matching the main illustration.

The item is protected in a transparent plastic sleeve, which has preserved the colors and integrity of both the illustration and the postmarks. The envelope's background is white, with crisp printing and well-preserved graphic details.
