Description

This illustrated envelope is a commemorative "First Day Cover" (FDC), dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Lions International in 1967. On the visible side, there is a large, colorful Lions International emblem, depicting two lion heads in profile and the central letter "L" on a blue background. The inscription "PREMIER JOUR D'ÉMISSION HISTORIQUE F.D.C." appears in the upper right, along with the number 616. The mention "CINQUANTENAIRE - 1967" appears in the lower left, clearly indicating the year of issue and the commemorative reason for this envelope.

A First Day postal cancellation from Paris, dated from the 50th anniversary, is affixed to the stamp and the envelope, attesting to the philatelic authenticity of this mail. The visible stamp also features the Lions International theme, using the logo and similar graphic elements. A small handwritten label "10F" is affixed to the protective plastic, probably for a former exhibition or catalog price.

The envelope is protected by a transparent plastic sleeve, visible in the photo, ensuring the preservation of the illustrated front.
