Description

First Day Cover (FDC) as shown in the photo, dedicated to the city of Nantes. On the front, there is a detailed drawing of the façade of the Sainte-Croix church in Nantes, enhanced with black, yellow, and red touches. In the upper left corner, a clearly identifiable colored coat of arms of Nantes is depicted. The envelope bears the inscription "PREMIER JOUR D'ÉMISSION" (First Day of Issue) in blue, followed by the number 266 and the mention "FDC" (First Day Cover), typical of philatelic commemorative envelopes.

There is also a clearly legible round postmark with the inscription "PREMIER JOUR D'ÉMISSION 15 NOV. 1964 NANTES" (First Day of Issue November 15, 1964 Nantes), confirming the precise date of issue. The envelope features a meticulous illustration, with the inscription "NANTES - Façade de l’église Sainte-Croix" (Nantes - Façade of Sainte-Croix church) in the bottom left. The artist's name Gust. G. is visible on the illustration.

The recipient and their address are typed in the bottom right: "Monsieur T. B***, 22 Rue de Fontain***, LE MANS". There is a stamp (partially obscured by the reflection of the protective plastic), as well as a second partially visible postmark. The envelope is presented under transparent plastic film, which protects the surface but allows slight undulations and reflections to be seen in the photo.

The graphic style, dated postmark, and typography are consistent with French philatelic production from the mid-1960s, typical of FDCs issued on the occasion of new stamp releases.

Condition

Used item sold as is. The visible side appears to be in good overall condition, with no apparent tears, but some signs of wear or reflections related to the protective plastic sleeve are visible. Clear print, well-preserved colors, legible postmarks.
