This Sainte-Chapelle First Day Cover from Paris is a philatelic item dated October 22, 1966, as indicated by the postmark visible on the front. The envelope features a large photographic illustration of the Sainte-Chapelle on the front, highlighting its Gothic spire and architectural details, as well as a colorful reproduction of an emblematic stained-glass window from the monument. The title "La Sainte-Chapelle à Paris" is printed in the upper left corner of the envelope.

The stamp affixed on the right depicts a polychrome stained-glass window, directly related to the artistic heritage of the Sainte-Chapelle, famous for its medieval glasswork. Two round "PREMIER JOUR D’ÉMISSION" (First Day Cover) postmarks with the inscription "VITRAIL DE LA SAINTE-CHAPELLE PARIS 22 OCT. 66" are stamped on the stamp and illustration, confirming the issue date of this commemorative envelope.

The phrase "PREMIER JOUR D’ÉMISSION" also appears in green, in both French and English, attesting to the philatelic nature of the item. The entire piece is protected in a transparent sleeve, which preserves its overall condition as shown in the photo. A small handwritten insert "20F" appears at the bottom right of the envelope, likely an old sale or classification value.
