The envelope bears a circular postmark "XIXe Salon Philatélique Paris Salon d’Automne" dated November 6, 1965, applied to both the stamp and the illustration, confirming its philatelic authenticity. The word "Historique" appears at the top, accompanied by the number "N° 589", characteristic of limited or referenced editions in this type of commemorative mail.

The main illustration showcases the painter's tools (palette, brushes, easel), as well as a panel representing the stamp issued for the occasion.
