Description
This First Day Cover, visible in the photo, features a colored illustration depicting a tapestry scene, referred to as "Tapisserie des Gobelins" (Gobelins Tapestry). The illustration occupies the upper left part of the envelope and highlights an intricate design, typical of the Gobelins manufactory style, with characters in period costumes and a richly ornamented setting. The inscription "Tapisserie des Gobelins" is clearly visible below the image, as well as the number "No 422" on the upper edge.

In the upper right, the envelope bears a canceled stamp, accompanied by a round postmark. The cancellation indicates "PREMIER JOUR D’ÉMISSION" (First Day of Issue) and the city of Paris, making it a French FDC (First Day Cover). The stamp is illustrated with dominant red, green, and white colors, in harmony with the style of the main illustration. The envelope is preserved in a transparent plastic sleeve, suggesting a desire to protect the item.

Visible inscriptions also include "Imprimerie des Gobelins" (Gobelins Printing House) on the left edge, as well as details related to the edition and the postmark. A small handwritten sticker with the number "101" is affixed to the visible side. The overall presentation is a classic composition of First Day Covers, with attention paid to showcasing the philatelic visual.

The round postmark is well-defined and legible, attesting to the authenticity of the First Day cancellation. The general presentation is neat, with no apparent signs of wear on the visible side, nor any notable alteration to the illustration or the stamp. The paper medium appears to be in good condition, protected by the plastic sleeve.
