Description

Illustrated philatelic sheet issued by CEF, dedicated to the National Telecommunications Research Center (CNET), year 1984, CEF catalog reference n°728. The sheet features a modern, brightly colored illustration on the left, signed by Charles Bridoux, depicting a stylized telephone handset topped with a multicolored beam reminiscent of waves or signals, with stars on a dark background. The image highlights innovation in the telecommunications field, directly related to the sheet's theme.

On the right, the sheet includes a detailed explanatory text tracing the history of telecommunications in France and the role of CNET. The printed title "1814 - Centre National d'Études des Télécommunications 1984" is clearly legible at the top of the page. Below it, a postage stamp specific to this issue is affixed, accompanied by its CNET Paris first-day cancellation, visible in black.

The stamp, with a face value of 3.00 F, repeats the main illustration's motif, emphasizing the graphic coherence of this sheet. The entire piece is printed on smooth white paper, with a binder-hole margin visible on the left, typical of CEF sheets. In the bottom left, the graphic designer Charles Bridoux is credited.

The sheet bears the individual number 7077 in the bottom left, attesting to its limited edition. The presentation is neat, with a balanced layout and high legibility of texts and illustrations. No major flaws are visible on the exposed side; the paper appears clean, without creases or apparent traces of moisture.

This type of sheet is sought after for its print quality, the richness of its illustration, and the historical interest of the subject covered, here the evolution of French telecommunications through CNET.
