Description

This illustrated philatelic souvenir sheet, part of the CEF series, highlights the National Centre for Telecommunications Studies (CNET) for the year 1984. On the left, a graphic illustration signed by Charles Bridoux depicts a stylized composition around the theme of telecommunications: in the center, a blue telephone receiver topped with a beam of colored lines evoking waves and information transmission, all under a starry sky. Two stylized hands clasp at the top, likely symbolizing collaboration and innovation in this sector.

On the right, the souvenir sheet includes an explanatory text detailing the history of CNET and its advancements in French telecommunications. The text is titled "1814 · Centre National d'Études des Télécommunications 1984" and traces the major stages of technical development from the invention of the telegraph to modern systems.

A postage stamp is integrated into the souvenir sheet, accompanied by a commemorative postmark illustrated and dated June 16, 1984. The stamp's visual reproduces the graphic design of the main illustration, with the "CNET" mention clearly visible. The whole is presented on white paper with a fine border, typical of CEF souvenir sheets from this period.

The souvenir sheet bears the CEF catalog number 728, visible on the left border, as well as the individual number 7078 printed at the bottom left. The inscriptions on the border specify the origin and edition by CEF France et Navarre commercial service.

The visible side shows no major apparent defects: colors remain vibrant, text is sharp and legible, and the overall presentation is neat, typical of commemorative philatelic souvenir sheets.
