Description
This illustrated sheet, from the CEF (Courrier d’Entreprise à la Française) series, highlights France's 9th Modernization Plan for the period 1984-1988. It is presented in a transparent plastic sleeve, typical of CEF philatelic sheets, with side perforations for filing.
The visible side shows a large graphic visual signed by Rémy Peignot, composed of a stylized "9" in a blue-white-red gradient, symbolizing national economic planning. The inscription "Moderniser la France." (Modernize France.) appears at the top left, accompanied by the mention "1984–1988" at the bottom, printed in red and blue.
The sheet includes an explanatory text on economic planning in France, as well as a commemorative stamp postmarked December 8, 1984, illustrating the same logo. The "Moderniser la France, Paris" first-day cancellation is clearly visible, with the stamp's face value of 2.10 F.
On the left-hand strip, the official mentions, the CEF reference n°753, the print run (20,500 copies, including 13,500 on silk paper), and the individual number "3394" corresponding to this copy can be seen. The whole presents a neat appearance, typical of philatelic presentation products.
The graphics, typography, and arrangement of elements are characteristic of French philatelic productions of the 1980s, highlighting institutional communication and an assertive tricolor design.
