Description

This CEF philatelic sheet honors Charles Dullin (1885-1949), a major figure in French theater. It is an illustrated commemorative issue, combining an artistic reproduction of Charles Dullin's face, a work by René Quillivic (Grand Prix de Rome for engraving and creator of the issued stamp), with a biographical text printed on the right side. The whole is presented on a predominantly white cardboard support, enhanced with a black frame and a discreet Greek motif around the central illustration.

In the upper right corner of the sheet, there is a French postage stamp featuring Charles Dullin, canceled with the "Premier Jour" (First Day) postmark, also bearing an architectural representation.
