Description

Illustrated philatelic sheet issued by CEF, dedicated to the Council of Europe, featuring two "First Day" postmarked stamps dated November 13, 1982, in Strasbourg. At the center, an artistic color reproduction of the famous Council of Europe chamber, surrounded by a golden frame. The stamps are affixed at the top left and right, each accompanied by a perfectly clear First Day cancellation.

The sheet features text printed in French, detailing the history and role of the Council of Europe, as well as a caption mentioning the artist Eugène Lacamp, painter-engraver, author of the central illustration. The document is carefully printed on smooth paper with a matte finish and has perforations on the left for binder filing.

The edges of the sheet are outlined with a golden fillet. The inscriptions "CONSEIL DE L’EUROPE" and information related to the issue are clearly visible. The CEF reference and the sheet number (N° 653 bis) are printed on the left margin, accompanied by the individual number "3989" at the bottom left.

The sheet is presented in a transparent plastic sleeve, typical of CEF philatelic editions, ensuring good protection for the document. The overall presentation is neat, with well-preserved colors and perfectly legible inscriptions.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The sheet visible in the photo shows no tears or apparent stains on the shown side. The cancellations and texts are clear, and the colors of the central visual are well preserved. The plastic sleeve shows some minor signs of use, without affecting the readability or protection of the sheet.
