Description

This CEF philatelic sheet is dedicated to Jacques Callot, the famous 17th-century Lorraine engraver. On the right side, an artistic illustration by Pierre Forget depicts an expressive portrait of Jacques Callot, accompanied in the background by silhouettes sketched in grey and gold tones. The title "JACQUES CALLOT" appears in the upper right, printed in clear black capital letters.

The sheet includes a detailed biographical text tracing the life and work of Jacques Callot, printed in black on a white background. In the lower right, a commemorative stamp with a value of 500 francs depicts an engraved scene, captioned "JACQUES CALLOT after Claude Deruet". The stamp also bears a first-day cover postmark with a stylized portrait of Callot, dated June 5, 1982, in Nancy.

On the left side of the sheet, one can see the inscription "N° 1081 of the CEF catalog" as well as the mention "La Société Européenne des Feuillets Illustrés CEF". The sheet is presented in a transparent plastic sleeve, perforated on the left for filing, and bears the limited edition number "1754" in the lower left.

The overall presentation is neat, with a black border around the main sheet. The visual condition of the whole appears clean, with no apparent defects on the visible side.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The visible side shows no significant defects; the original plastic sleeve is included and appears in good condition.
