Description

This illustrated sheet, issued by the CEF (Centrale d'Études Philatéliques), highlights the theme of the fight against racism and friendship. On the visible side, there is a graphic composition centered on two stylized hands, one green and one pink, intertwined as a sign of unity. The word "AMITIÉ" (FRIENDSHIP) is repeated in green and pink letters around the illustration, while a blue triangle bears the inscription "lutte contre le racisme" (fight against racism) in blue characters.

In the upper right part, the sheet includes a French postage stamp with a face value of 2.30 francs, also depicting two intertwined hands. The stamp bears a legible round cancellation, with the mention "LUTTE CONTRE LE RACISME - PARIS" (FIGHT AGAINST RACISM - PARIS). The whole evokes an official commemorative philatelic issue, dedicated to raising awareness against discrimination.

The sheet features a printed explanatory text detailing the historical and humanistic context of the issue, including the importance of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the designation of March 21 as the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The text also highlights France's commitment to this subject and the need to promote fraternity.

The document is mounted on a white cardboard backing, with a CEF header and references printed on the left margin (CEF catalog no. 826). There are perforations on the left, typical of philatelic sheets designed to be inserted into an album. The whole is well presented, without superfluous decoration, for a sober enhancement of the message and visual.

The illustration is signed "DESSINIER," a decorator who created the stamp design reproduced on the sheet.

Condition

Used item sold as is. The visible side shows no major apparent defects: the colors are vibrant, the printing is clear, and the stamp and cancellation are clearly visible. The cardboard backing shows slight signs of handling compatible with album storage.
