Description

This philatelic sheet, published by CEF (Courrier d’Entreprise de France), features a thematic composition centered around French "Marianne" and "Sabine" stamps. The main face of the sheet displays a selection of stamps in various colors, all printed and presented on a light blue and white background. The "Marianne" stamps are aligned at the top, each identified by the artist's name (Dulac, Decaris, Gandon, Muller, Cocteau, la Nef, Cheffer, Bequet) and the corresponding year of issue, ranging from 1944 to 1976. Each original stamp is reproduced in miniature with its distinctive colors (orange, violet, green, pink, black, etc.).

Below, the "Type Sabine 1979" section presents three postmarked stamps, each with a clearly visible round postal cachet, dated and bearing the inscription "ATELIER DU TIMBRE, 63 RUE DE L’ARCHEVÊCHÉ, PARIS". The stamps are mounted on the sheet, which highlights the typical presentation quality of CEF editions.

To the right, an enlarged reproduction of a blue 0.70 FRANCE POSTES stamp catches the eye, depicting the classic profile of Marianne in a refined graphic style. The sheet is printed on white cardstock, with a mention of the limited edition (20,000 copies, including 11,000 offset and 1,000 silk) and numbering at the bottom left (here, no. 5341).

The left side of the sheet contains the publication information: "N° 510 Spécial du catalogue CEF", as well as the publisher's address and a description specifying that it is an artistic sheet created for the 1979 Sabine issue, with details on the exceptional presentation and the absence of advance sales.

The visual finish is clean, with perforations on the left allowing for insertion into a binder. The whole is designed for presentation and conservation, typical of CEF sheets intended for demanding philatelists.

The item is used and sold as is. The image shows a clean surface, with no major signs of wear or visible tears on the presented side. The postmarks are clear and the colors well-preserved.

Did you know? The "Sabine" type was designed by Pierre Gandon and put into circulation in 1977. It is famous for succeeding numerous portraits of Marianne, a symbol of the French Republic, and was used on official mail until the early 1980s.
