Description
Illustrated CEF philatelic sheet, dedicated to a work by Bernard Moninot, a contemporary French artist. This sheet features a 6.70 franc postage stamp, canceled with a first day postmark dated 29.03.1997 in Paris, accompanied by a colorful artistic illustration and a photographic reproduction of a work by Moninot, visible on the right. The whole is presented on a white cardboard backing, perforated on the left, typical of CEF sheets.
The stamp, placed at the top left, shows an abstract composition mixing geometric shapes and colorful touches, typical of Bernard Moninot's style. The vignette is visually enhanced by the round black postmark, bearing the artist's signature and the mention "Premier Jour" (First Day).
To the right of the stamp, a photograph illustrates one of Moninot's three-dimensional works, playing on contrasts of shadow and light, with transparency and superposition effects typical of his work. The background of the sheet remains simple, highlighting the central presentation.
Two blocks of printed text detail Bernard Moninot's career, his artistic influences, and the process behind the stamp's creation. The sheet bears the mention "ŒUVRE DE BERNARD MONINOT" (WORK BY BERNARD MONINOT) at the top, and the CEF catalog reference "N° 1312" is visible in the upper left margin. At the bottom left, the number "3226" is printed, probably indicating the limited edition.
The support has a matte finish, with perforations for binder storage. No major defects are visible on the presented side; the surface appears clean, without apparent folds, stains, or tears.
Condition
Used item, sold as is. The visible side is in good overall condition, with no noticeable defects.
