This philatelic sheet, published by CEF, pays tribute to Henri Fabre, aviation pioneer and inventor of the seaplane. On the left side, an illustrated portrait of Henri Fabre, signed by René Quillivic (Grand Prix de Rome for engraving), is accompanied by a representation of the seaplane "Le Canard". The whole is presented on a white background with a black border, offering a typical composition of commemorative sheets in French philately.

On the right, a detailed biographical text traces Fabre's career and achievements, particularly his historic flight over the Étang de Berre. A postage stamp bearing his likeness (face value 0.40 F) is affixed, complemented by a "First Day" cancellation dated February 22, 1976, in Marseille, marking the official issue of the stamp.

The sheet features careful printing, with subdued colors dominated by black, white, and touches of blue and red. The stamp, illustrated vignette, and cancellation are perfectly integrated into the format, typical of CEF issues. The side inscriptions mention "N° 804 of the CEF catalog" and the reference "11785".

The visible side shows no tears or noticeable creases; the surface appears clean and the corners sharp. The texts and illustrations are clear and legible. Information on the back or inside of the sheet is not visible in the photo.
