Description
This CEF philatelic sheet features a stylized illustration of the Marianne of the Bicentennial, a work by Louis Briat, highlighted by a large blue visual with vertical stripes on the left side. On the right side, four different postage stamps from the Marianne of the Bicentennial series are affixed, each cancelled with the "PARIS" postmark dated 30-01-1991. The stamps are of distinct colors (green, blue, pink) and highlight different face values corresponding to the postal tariff changes that occurred in August 1991.
The sheet includes printed explanatory text, detailing the new values and their postal use: 2 F 50 red, 2 F 20 green, 3 F 40 blue, and 4 F pink. The entire set is presented on a white cardboard support, surrounded by a dark brown border. The clear typography and careful arrangement of the elements offer excellent readability and highlight the historical dimension of this issue.
In the upper left corner of the sheet is the mention "N° 1081 du catalogue CEF", attesting to the authenticity of this philatelic issue. On the visible side strip, technical mentions related to the edition are printed, including the number of copies edited and the reference 450 at the bottom left of the support.
The special Paris cancellations, perfectly clear, enhance the philatelic interest of the sheet. The stamps are carefully aligned and affixed to the document, with no apparent traces of defect or degradation visible on the exposed face.
The printing quality of the main visual and the texts, combined with the sharpness of the postmarks, testifies to a carefully presented philatelic product, intended to illustrate a significant evolution in French postal history.
