Description

This illustrated philatelic sheet is dedicated to the commune of Tavant, located in Indre-et-Loire. The item is in the form of a white-backed cardboard sheet, protected by a perforated plastic sleeve (visible on the left edge), typical of CEF (Covers Événements Philatéliques Français) presentations. In the upper left, the title "TAVANT INDRE-ET-LOIRE" is displayed in black letters, followed by a large photographic illustration showing a sculpted capital, a work by Odette Baillais, mentioned at the bottom of the image. This illustration highlights the region's Romanesque heritage.

On the right side, the sheet features a postage stamp with the mention "TAVANT," with a face value of 6.70, accompanied by its first-day cancellation, dated and localized (Tavant - Indre-et-Loire). The postmark has a stylized drawing of Tavant Abbey. Next to the stamp, a reproduction of a mural fresco completes the presentation.
