Description

This CEF philatelic sheet honors the French Foreign Legion, with a careful visual composition that combines illustration, historical text, and a commemorative stamp. On the left side, a polychrome illustration signed by Jean Delpech, a professor of engraving, depicts several legionnaires in uniform, in a scene with historical and military accents.
