Description

This CEF philatelic sheet, titled "LE RENARD" (The Fox), features a carefully designed layout combining stamps, artistic illustration, and explanatory text. Each stamp is accompanied by a "First Day" cancellation mark stating "Histoire Naturelle - Le Renard" (Natural History - The Fox). On the right side, a large color illustration signed "C. Haley" shows a fox in its natural habitat, in an undergrowth of green and brown tones. The background evokes a forest against a clear sky, reinforcing the naturalistic aspect of the composition.
