Description

This illustrated philatelic sheet, published by CEF, honors the artist Marc Boyan with a work entitled "La Famille" (The Family). The visible side features a remarkable graphic composition of stylized human profiles, rendered in soft gradients of blue, yellow, pink, and brown, evoking the theme of family and transmission. To the right, a detailed biography of Marc Boyan is printed, accompanied by the title "La Famille" in the upper right.

In the lower left, the sheet features a postage stamp illustrated with a stylized sculpture, captioned "LA FAMILLE" and with a face value of 4.00. This stamp bears a "First Day" cancellation dated September 18, 1982, in Paris, with a round postmark repeating the central family motif.

The whole is framed by a golden border, giving it an elegant presentation typical of CEF editions. The sheet also features the signature of the artist Jacques Combet, who engraved the stamp and signed the illustration.
