Description

This philatelic sheet, from the CEF series, honors the Liberty Republic type with a careful presentation, typical of French commemorative issues. The visible side presents three postage stamps, two green and one blue, all canceled "First Day" on August 1, 1986, in Paris, Musée de la Poste. The postmarks illustrate the connection with the Parisian postal institution, and each stamp is accompanied by its specific postage.

The left part of the sheet includes an explanatory text detailing the context of the postal rate change in 1986 and the issue of the "Liberty" stamp, as well as the mention of the illustration entrusted to Pierre Gandon, Grand Prix de Rome in Engraving and Creator of beloved figurines. The text is printed clearly in black on a white background, and the layout is typical of CEF sheets, with a dark brown border.

To the right, an artistic color illustration depicts a female profile inspired by Liberty, with a classic pictorial style. Shades of beige, brown, and black contrast with the dominant green of the stamps. The entire sheet has a flat, unfolded appearance, and the perforation on the left side indicates its format for a philatelic binder.

The sheet bears the reference "3112" at the bottom left and the mention of the CEF catalog on the outer margin. The stamps are perfectly aligned, the cancellations are clear, and the overall presentation is very clean, with no visible defects or marked signs of wear.

The "Did you know?" section specifies that this type of CEF sheet is often published in limited editions, intended to commemorate major postal events or tariff changes, and highlights the expertise of renowned illustrators such as Pierre Gandon in French philately.
