Description

This figurine depicts a walking cow, typical of vintage Starlux productions. The statuette reveals a well-proportioned animal silhouette, with a realistic attitude characteristic of mid-20th century animal models. The coat is treated in two main tones: a light beige base enhanced with large brown spots, reproducing the appearance of a traditional farm animal. Anatomical details are visible on the lateral side: short horns, a rounded snout, erect ears, and finely modeled limbs. The hooves are also differentiated, as is the tail molded as an extension of the body. The whole presents a matte finish, with signs of wear and patina testifying to the piece's age.

The surface of the figurine shows some paint chips, particularly on the flanks and legs, as well as traces of abrasion on prominent areas. The natural shades of the coat are rendered by a brushed effect, typical of vintage Starlux figurines. No inscription or mark is visible on the presented side.

The cow is molded in a single piece, with no added elements, and presents a slightly dynamic appearance, with its head turned forward and one hind leg lifted off the ground. This posture gives movement to the whole, in the spirit of agricultural figurines produced in France in the 1950s-1970s.

The dominant color remains beige, punctuated by irregular brown spots on the back, flanks, and head. The eyes and nostrils are simply suggested, without detailed paint. The overall appearance is that of a toy or a decorative element for a nativity scene or miniature farm, typical of Starlux production.
