This old, empty Eau de Lavande bottle is an authentic decorative piece from French perfumery. It's a vintage bottle featuring a partially patinated gold label, where "Eau de Lavande" followed by "SERRAILLER OUSTIERES SAINTE-MARIE" can be distinctly read. This bottle, cylindrical in shape, slightly flared towards the base, presents a vertical fluted surface, typical of mid-20th century perfumery productions.

The satin glass, with its frosted appearance, contributes to the decorative effect of the bottle. The lower part shows a slight amber coloration, probably due to residues from use. The visible cap is dark, with a simple appearance, contrasting with the translucency of the bottle's body. The metallic label, affixed to the front, is original and remains legible despite some signs of age.

The overall design evokes the aesthetic codes of French perfume and eau de toilette bottles from the 1950s to the 1970s. The vertical ridges add an elegant touch and facilitate grip. No superfluous decoration is visible on the shown side, leaving full prominence to the label and the glass texture.

This type of bottle is sought after for both its retro style and its decorative potential: it's perfectly suited for display in a vintage interior, an old-inspired bathroom, or on a shelf for perfumery object collections. It can also serve as a vase for a small dried floral arrangement, or simply be displayed for its aesthetic marked by the history of French perfumery.

The bottle's manufacture, with its thick glass and satin finish, testifies to the care taken with this type of container in the tradition of lavender houses in the South of France. The gold label, although patinated, recalls the prestige associated with products of yesteryear and still bears the signature of the SERRAILLER house in Oustières, Sainte-Marie.

Condition: Used item, sold as is. Visible traces of use, notably a patina on the label, and internal deposits at the bottom of the bottle. Original cap and label. No visible chips or cracks on the displayed side.

Did you know? Lavender has been distilled in Provence since the 16th century. Artisan houses like SERRAILLER in Oustières contributed to the renown of Eau de Lavande, highly appreciated for its refreshing and soothing properties, both in perfumery and for domestic use.
