Description

This bottle, visible in the photo, is an old eau de cologne from the Roger & Gallet brand, "Jean-Marie Farina Extra-Vieille" edition. It is a rectangular glass bottle with rounded corners, topped with an opaque white screw cap. The classic-style front label features colorful coats of arms and traditional red and black typography on a cream background, typical of vintage Roger & Gallet productions. The following inscriptions are clearly legible: "eau de cologne Jean-Marie Farina EXTRA-VIEILLE", "ROGER & GALLET PARIS", and "86% Vol.".

The transparency of the glass allows observing the slightly yellowish liquid inside, characteristic of old eaux de cologne. The label, although generally legible, shows some visible signs of wear around the edges, particularly on the lower right corner. The bottle does not show any visible molded patterns on the exposed part, favoring a simple and functional shape, consistent with the vintage aesthetic of period perfume bottles.

The overall design evokes a retro style, consistent with Roger & Gallet productions from the mid to late 20th century. The sober presentation, the absence of superfluous decorations, and the choice of blown glass (mentioned in the keywords) reinforce the authenticity and charm of an antique toiletry item. No decorative cap or additional covering is visible on the exposed part.

The bottle is presented on a light wooden background, surrounded by a few dried flowers, which highlights the purity of the glass and the tint of the liquid. No mention of capacity is legible on the visible label, and no accessories are associated in the photo.

Condition

Used item sold as is. The label shows signs of wear, including a visible tear on the lower right corner. The liquid level appears partially used. No chips or cracks are visible on the exposed side of the bottle. For any additional details, please refer to the photo.

Did you know? Jean-Marie Farina Eau de Cologne is one of the oldest perfume formulas still marketed. Created in the early 18th century by Jean-Marie Farina, a descendant of Giovanni Maria Farina, it was acquired by Roger & Gallet in 1862. This iconic fragrance is renowned for its freshness and has charmed many historical figures, including Napoleon I, who was a great admirer.
