Description

This Art Deco perfume atomiser bottle is an authentic 1930s toiletries accessory. It features an elegant, angular silhouette, characteristic of creations from that period. The base of the bottle, made of frosted glass with a matte appearance, has cut sides and vertical lines emphasising its geometric shape, typical of the Art Deco style.

The upper part is equipped with a mount and a chrome-plated metallic cap, whose conical shape accentuates the overall refinement. A flexible hose, also covered with a metallic mesh, connects the bottle to a perfume bulb covered with a silver net. The bulb is flexible, designed to spray the perfume contained inside the bottle, although the bottle is presented empty here.

The satin transparency of the glass reveals some traces of old residues, testifying to its past use. No logo or inscription is visible on the presented side. The overall design, simple and geometric, perfectly matches the decorative codes of the 1930s, offering a retro and elegant touch to any interior.

The atomiser is placed on antique wooden furniture, which highlights its decorative character and its heritage dimension. The metallic mesh of the bulb and the chrome finishes reinforce the impression of quality and durability, often sought after in toiletries of that era.

This type of bottle, now empty of its contents, is particularly appreciated for vintage decoration, as a display on a dressing table or as a curiosity in a retro-style cabinet.

Condition

Second-hand item, sold as is. Some traces of oxidation and signs of use are visible on the metallic parts and the glass, consistent with its age and authenticity.

Did you know? Perfume atomisers with bulbs appeared at the end of the 19th century and became widely popular in the 1920s-1930s. Their mechanism allowed for a fine and elegant diffusion of perfume, making the olfactory experience more refined and controlled. The Art Deco style, with its angular shapes and contrasting materials, inspired many bottles of this period.
