Description

Antique table clock from the Fero brand, identifiable by its central dial bearing the inscription "FERO" and "RUBIS." The piece has a circular shape, with a wide, matte-finished rim, probably metal or alloy, featuring raised Arabic numerals (12, 3, 6, 9). The central dial displays a light and dark two-tone checkerboard pattern, characteristic of the retro style of the 60s. Minute markers are indicated on an annular black band inside the dial. The hands are classic in style, with the red second hand providing a striking visual contrast against the checkerboard background. The winding crown, visible on the right, is notched for better grip.

The graphic pattern of the dial, the thickness of the rim, and the typography of the numerals evoke the aesthetic of mid-20th century desk or table clocks. The whole gives off a decorative and utilitarian appearance, with a very marked retro touch. No feet or support are visible on this face; the object was photographed flat.

The dial, protected by glass (or a smooth-looking transparent surface), appears to be in good general condition despite some apparent signs of wear on the rim, consistent with prolonged use. The overall readability remains excellent thanks to the contrast of the patterns and the generous size of the numerals.

Used item sold as is, untested. Shows visible signs of wear on the crown and dial rim. The mechanism has not been checked. Sold as shown in the photo.
