Description

An old, round time clock, typical of the portable time-recording devices used for security rounds in the 1940s. The casing has a dark metallic appearance, with a uniform patina and traces of green oxidation around the fastenings, characteristic of its age and intensive use. The visible face includes a circular dial protected by a six-segment metal grid, revealing numbers from 1 to 12 on a light background, as well as a central axis and an opening for reading or activating the mechanism.

The rim of the casing is encircled by a riveted band, secured by period screws and bolts. Two sturdy straps, with the appearance of aged leather, are firmly attached and held by old rivets, allowing it to be carried over the shoulder or on the belt. The metal buckles and fasteners show pronounced oxidation and traces of wear, confirming the age of the entire piece. The whole presents an industrial and utilitarian aesthetic, typical of pre-war personnel control accessories and security devices.

The central dial, clearly visible in the photo, displays black numbers on a white background, protected by a cross-shaped grid. The edge of the dial has a rusted finish and signs of use, with no superfluous decoration. No specific logo, brand, or inscription is legible on the visible face, apart from the dial's numbering.

The robust-looking strap and buckle system attests to the artisanal or semi-industrial manufacturing common for this type of professional accessory between the 1930s and 1950s.
