Description

Old shield-shaped badge, from a group or society identified by the inscription "G.S. BERNAR 2477" in gold letters on a black background at the top of the shield. The item features an enameled decoration depicting a stylized animal, probably an antelope or a black chamois, standing on a white area evoking a summit or a ball. The background of the shield is matte gold, with a slight textured effect visible on the surface. The edges are bordered by a dark trim that emphasizes the rounded triangular shape of the shield.

The lower part of the badge has an visible metal loop, suggesting an original fastening, typical of clip or screw badges. The visible patina on the metal and enamel indicates a certain age, with some signs of wear and alterations in color, particularly on the prominent parts and the edges. The enamel shows some superficial cracks, characteristic of old badges, with no major chips visible on the photographed side.

The manual typography and the graphic style of the animal are reminiscent of associative or sports productions from the mid-20th century, probably from the 50s to the 70s, but without absolute certainty regarding the dating. No other markings or details are visible on the presented side.

The ensemble offers a vintage look, with a combination of sober colors and a stylized animal motif that evokes the badges of sports clubs, scouts, or local groups of the era. The contrast between the black, gold, and white enamel enhances the readability and decorative appeal of the piece.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. Visible signs of wear and patina, slight enamel defects and color alterations consistent with age. No visible restoration on the photographed side.
