Description

Military badge of the 1st Marine Artillery Regiment (1er RAMa), presented in its original rigid burgundy case, with "1er RAMa" embossed in gold on the base. The badge, rectangular with softened corners, features an enameled shield in blue, white, and burgundy colors, bordered with a golden trim. The central emblem depicts an anchor crossed with two stylized cannons, a characteristic symbol of French marine artillery. Two golden St. Andrew's cross motifs are visible in the upper part of the shield.

The enameling of the shield offers a brilliant finish, with a clear contrast between the colored areas and the golden parts. The upper part of the shield is burgundy, the lower part is navy blue, separated by a white diamond-shaped motif. The golden details are crisp and well-defined, highlighting the care taken in manufacturing.

The item is presented in a rigid plastic box, whose transparent lid perfectly displays the badge. The case shows some superficial signs of wear visible on the plastic, without impacting the legibility of the marking or the visibility of the badge.

The visible side of the badge shows no major defects: the enamel appears intact, with no chips or apparent scratches. The colors remain vibrant and uniform. No marking is visible on the front of the badge apart from the described heraldic motif.

This type of badge was intended to be worn on a uniform or kept as an object of military tradition. Its presentation in its original case is an asset for conservation or display.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. Visible signs of wear on the case (scratches on the plastic), badge in very good apparent condition on the front, enamel and gilding well preserved.

Did you know? The 1st Marine Artillery Regiment, heir to the "Canonniers de la Marine" created in 1803, is part of the colonial artillery and then the French army. The anchor crossed with cannons symbolizes its dual maritime and land heritage.
