Description

This historical card game comes from the "Le Grand Fichier de l’Histoire de France" series, published by Librairie Jules Tallandier in 1976. Presented in its original hard case, the set consists of large cardboard cards, the first visible of which bears the title "Vercingétorix" on a red band, accompanied by an illustration of an ancient coin featuring the Gallic chief. The case features the embossed inscription "Le Grand Fichier de l’Histoire de France," as well as the publisher's name and year of publication.

The visible card features a neat layout, characteristic of 1970s educational productions, with numbering in the top right corner (here, number 1) and a central visual on a green background. The printing and graphic quality are typical of this era, with clear colors and a clean design.

The case, made of rigid off-white plastic, provides good protection for the cards. The embossed inscriptions indicate a carefully crafted edition, designed for regular use. The back of the case and the other cards are not visible in the photo.

This game, designed as an educational tool, allowed users to explore the history of France through emblematic figures, events, and objects. The format of the cards, their numbering, and the clarity of the visuals make identification and handling easy.

The series is sought after for its pedagogical approach and vintage aesthetic, typical of 1970s educational materials, both retro and functional.

Condition

Used item sold as is. The case and the visible card show slight signs of wear compatible with age, with no major apparent defects on the visible side.
