Description
This lot concerns a period copy of the French newspaper Le Petit Marseillais, visible in the photograph. The front page features a characteristic blue masthead, accompanied by the mentions "65e année" (65th year), "7e édition" (7th edition), and the date Monday, November 13, 1932 clearly inscribed. The entire newspaper is printed on typical newsprint, predominantly cream-colored, with a patina marked by time.

The layout corresponds to the graphic codes of 1930s daily newspapers: narrow columns, black and white photogravures, and advertising boxes at the bottom. The headlines and masthead are printed in blue, while the rest of the text remains in black. Several main articles are visible, including a portrait of M. Albert Lebrun and international political news topics ("L’Allemagne a voté hier" - Germany voted yesterday).

The lower part of the newspaper, clearly visible in the photo, contains numerous period advertisements, including a large one for "PHOSCao". The paper's texture, its fine grain, and slight translucency are typical of old newspapers, with visible creases and crumpling in the center and on the edges.

The newspaper is photographed flat on a wooden table, with an old bookshelf in the background, highlighting its retro and authentic character. Slight yellowing of the paper, handling marks, and wear are visible, confirming the age of the copy. No supplement or other pages are visible in the photo; only the front page and part of the inner double page are shown.

The inscriptions, advertisements, and portraits are typical of French regional press from the 1930s, with typography and illustration styles characteristic of that period. The general presentation and the condition of the paper evoke a historical archival item, perfect for study or vintage decoration.

Condition
Used item, sold as is. Presence of creases, crumpling marks, yellowing of the paper, and visible wear on the exposed side. However, the newspaper retains good readability and the authentic appearance of an old copy.

Did you know? Le Petit Marseillais was one of the major regional daily newspapers in the South of France, founded in 1868 in Marseille. In the 1930s, it was among the highest-circulation newspapers outside Paris, covering both national and international political news, and illustrating the evolution of French journalism between the two wars.
